CREATIVE GUIDES · CREATIVE CRAFTS DUBAI
A handmade Diwali card can carry a warm greeting with a simple metallic detail. Choose a sturdy base and let the message remain the focal point.
Choose your palette
Gold, red and neutral cardstock can create a festive combination. Start with a card base and one smaller front panel, leaving a visible border around the edges.
Prepare the design
Cut a simple motif or greeting by hand or with a compatible cutting machine. In Design Space, attach any score line to the base and any drawn text to its panel so each operation stays in position.
Add a shimmer accent
Shimmer vinyl or metallic paper can create a small decorative detail. Match the transfer tape to the vinyl. When applying vinyl to paper, test first so the tape does not lift or tear the cardstock.
Assemble neatly
Arrange all the pieces before applying adhesive. Use a tape runner or appropriate paper adhesive for flat layers, then let the card rest until the bond is secure.
Make the envelope
Use the measurement chart for your envelope punch board, or choose a ready-made envelope that fits. Finish with a personal message inside and a matching paper tag if you are giving the card with a gift.
