Choose Christmas supplies around the projects you want to make, from handmade cards to painted ornaments. A small coordinated collection is easier to use than many unrelated seasonal pieces.
Paper and stamping supplies
Festive cardstock, stamps and stickers suit cards, gift tags and scrapbook pages. Choose a few repeatable motifs and leave space for names or greetings.
Dies, punches and fasteners
Use compatible dies or paper punches to create repeated shapes. Brads can add a movable or layered detail, but keep their points secure and away from young children.
Moulded decorations
Match a mould to the medium it is intended for. A craft resin mould is not automatically suitable for food, and a mould used with craft chemicals should not later be used for baking or food preparation.
Painted blanks and jars
Wooden ornaments and suitable decorative jars offer space for a name or small pattern. Use paints intended for the surface and let the finish cure. Choose LED lights for decorations near paper or other flammable materials.
