Dubai's Arts And Crafts Scrapbooking Paper Crafting Cricut
A list of all the Tools that i use for my Crafting! Hope it helps you to take your crafting to the next level. I have been crafting now for a very long time, more than 20 years. The whole industry has really evolved over this time. Handmade DIY is now on a different level.I have put together a few tools which i feel are an absolutely must for a crafter.
Scoring board: I remember those days when i would make paper rosettes. I used a ball point pen and a ruler for scoring lines. It was tedious and not very precise. Till i realised that there was a tool in the market called the Martha Stewart Scoing Board. I had to get that one! It made my life so much easier and fun. I can now make boxes, paper rosettes, paper bags, envelopes and have so many more with this fantastic tool. It gives clean, crisp lines which make folding so much easier even for heavier cardstock.
Die-cutting machine: I had been using paper punches and scissors to cut various shapes for a project that i was working on. And i used to dream of a machine that would cut any shape that i wanted. And voila, few years later i saw the advertisements for the Silhouette Cameo electronic cutter. I was super excited and i had to get one for myself. It’s helped me to take my crafting to a new level. The silhouette is great for when you have multiple projects. You can also design your own shape to be cut.
Cuttlebug Machine:Another die cutting tool that i indulged in was the Cuttlebug die-cutting machine. I needed something for embossing and i thought why not get the cuttlebug which i can use also for die-cutting as well. I’ve loved using my cuttlebug as it can cut chipboard, tissue, felt, thicker cardstock, leather sheets. It’s simply wonderful.
Envelope Punch board: Love, love, and love this tool. Made by We R Memory Keepers. It makes beautiful precision cuts to make various sizes of envelopes. As a mother of 3 kids, we need envelopes for birthday cards and gifts and now i can just make my own with this awesome tool.
Paper Punches: Wow, simply love them. Can’t stop buying them! That’s all i can say.
Distress Inks: These are absolutely fantastic. I use them to ink the edges of my cards for a vintage look, or to just colour in a background for beautiful effects. You can even use them to colour in for a watercolour effect. If you haven’t tried these, i would suggest do so. The Ranger has the best distress inks.
Misti Stamping Tool: Wow, this is a fantastic tool! I’ve wasted a lot of ink and paper over the years trying to perfect my stamped images but this tool makes it so much more easier. Simply position your paper where you want the image to be stamped and if you are not happy with your image, re-stamp on it. You cannot go wrong. This is also a great tool when you are making multiple stamped images.
Bow Maker: I was quite horrible at making bows and spent a lot of time trying to perfect them till i finally bought the Zutter Bow it all. Just line up the rods for the sizes and bow away. Great tool!
Spectrum Noir Pens: I attended a demo for these pens and simply fell in love. I wanted them so bad! Love these watercolour pens. And the sparkly ones are simply stunning!
Tape Runners: It makes your life so much easier if you have these tape runners. No more trying to peel off the backs of the adhesive double-sided stickers. Just use the runners and stick. I use the Crafter’s Companion and the Scotch ATG gun.
So this was a compilation of all the tools that i use for my projects. If you are a new crafter, i would suggest you have these items on your wish list. Every person deserves to get what they want. 🙂
