CREATIVE GUIDES · CREATIVE CRAFTS DUBAI
Alcohol inks create flowing colour and layered effects on suitable surfaces. Start with a few colours and a small test piece so you can learn how the inks spread and interact.
Choose a compatible surface
Read the ink manufacturer’s guidance for surfaces and application. Suitable non-porous craft papers or other approved surfaces behave differently from ordinary absorbent paper, so test before using your final piece.
Build colour gradually
Begin with a small amount of ink. Let colours meet naturally or use the recommended blending product to change the effect. Leave some open space so the colour patterns remain visible.
Jacquard Piñata and Ranger ranges
Both ranges offer options for expressive colour effects, but formulations and accessories differ. Choose inks and blending materials intended to work together rather than assuming every colourant is interchangeable.
Prepare the workspace
Follow the ink’s safety data and label instructions, including ventilation and keeping alcohol-based materials away from ignition sources. Protect the surface and use any specified protective equipment.
Finishing your work
Check which sealant, if any, is recommended for the ink and surface. Test a corner first because a finish can change or move the colour. Decorative ink projects are not automatically suitable for skin or food contact.
