CREATIVE GUIDES · CREATIVE CRAFTS DUBAI
Explore a different finish with a gel printing plate, blended ink background or metallic foil detail. These tools can complement the paper supplies you already use.
Gel printing plates
A gel printing plate creates monoprints with compatible paints and papers. Use a light, even layer of paint and experiment with stencils or texture tools suited to the plate. Follow its cleaning and storage guidance.
Distress Oxide ink pads
Ranger Distress Oxide inks can be blended and layered for backgrounds and decorative effects. Start with a small colour group and test the technique on the paper you plan to use.
The Minc foiling system
Foiling depends on the correct reactive medium, compatible foil and machine settings. Test a small toner or supported reactive design before preparing a finished card or invitation.
A glass media mat
A suitable glass media mat provides a defined workspace for selected craft techniques. Use its grid and palette areas as intended, and check the instructions before using heat, cutting tools or solvents on it.
These were part of our 2023 favourites. Before adding a specialist tool, consider the extra supplies it needs and whether the technique fits the projects you enjoy.
