Try a new technique through one small, practical project. These ideas bring together watercolour, fabric personalisation, decorative blanks and paper planning.
Draw with watercolour pens
Use watercolour paper and a small palette of water-based pens designed for blending. Draw a simple motif, then move the colour gently with a damp brush. Test the paper and pens together before starting your final page.
Make a decorative resin keychain
Choose a mould and resin compatible with the intended project. Follow the product’s protection and curing requirements. UV resin and two-part epoxy use different curing methods, so do not substitute one process for the other.
Personalise a T-shirt
Cut a simple design from suitable iron-on material, weed it and apply it to a compatible fabric with the recommended heat settings. Check the finished item’s care guidance before washing.
Decorate a cake topper blank
Add vinyl lettering to a suitable pre-made acrylic topper. The cutting machine cuts the vinyl, not the acrylic blank. Keep any decorative materials away from direct food contact unless approved for that use.
Make planner stickers
Use adhesive paper for simple cut shapes. Printed stickers need a compatible Print Then Cut machine, a suitable printer and the right sticker paper. Start with one small sheet to check the result.
