A school bus-shaped mini album is a cheerful place to collect photos, drawings and school memories. Make the cover sturdy and keep the inner pages simple so there is space for the stories.
Materials
- A school bus cutting template
- Cardstock or compatible chipboard for the covers
- Scrapbook paper for the pages
- A suitable cutting tool or machine
- A compatible binding system
Choose the right cutting method
If you use chipboard with a Cricut Knife Blade, use a compatible Maker-series machine and an approved material. The Knife Blade is not compatible with Explore machines. For other machines, choose cardstock or a material supported by the appropriate tool.
Make matching pages
Size the bus shape before cutting the covers. Cut the inner pages to fit, keeping the binding edge consistent. If you add patterned paper to the covers, trim it neatly and let the adhesive dry before punching binding holes.
Bind and decorate
Stack the pages between the covers and check their alignment. Use the hole pattern and binding components recommended for your binding tool. Add a name and school year to the front.
Leave room for photographs, class memories and short handwritten captions. A few colours repeated across the album give it a coordinated look without overwhelming the pages.
