CREATIVE GUIDES · CREATIVE CRAFTS DUBAI
A scrapbook brings photographs and small memories into a format you can hold and revisit. Start with one occasion and a few meaningful images, then let the page tell their story.
Choose a theme
A birthday, holiday or family afternoon gives the album a natural starting point. Select a manageable group of photos and add dates, names and short captions while the details are fresh.
Build a small supply collection
- A suitable album or journal
- Coordinating cardstock and patterned paper
- Photo-safe adhesive where needed
- Pens, stickers and optional washi tape
Plan each page
Place the photos first and leave space for the captions. Use one or two supporting papers rather than covering every area. Repeat a colour or motif across the album so different pages still feel connected.
Add thoughtful details
A ticket, a small note or a child’s drawing can tell more of the story. Use pockets for loose keepsakes and avoid bulky embellishments that stop the album closing comfortably.
Keep original photographs protected and choose appropriate archival materials when preserving irreplaceable memories. A small finished album often feels more meaningful than a large project that never gets assembled.
